Sadly, but inevitably, Covid-19 compels us to postpone the 2021 Mime Festival.
Our major programme of international live performance, films and workshops will return in January 2022, with highlights including several specially co-commissioned new productions from UK artists including Mimbre, Nikki Rummer, Opposable Thumb, Theatre Re, The PappyShow, Thick & Tight and Vamos Theatre.
But you don’t have to wait until 2022 to enjoy great physical and visual theatre. This coming January we’ll be hosting a series of short films commissioned from some of our favourite festival artists, and offering online and socially-distanced live workshops, talks and conversations led by internationally acclaimed visual theatre practitioners, including Avner Eisenberg, David Glass, Nola Rae, Theatre Re and The PappyShow. We’ll also be taking this opportunity to show videos of some of the festival’s most eye-opening productions from previous years.
Booking for our 2021 Workshops will open on 23 November, and we’ll update you about our other events then.
