“Great work, sophisticated, sexy and yearning”

Lyn Gardner (Stagedoor)

Physically exhilarating, touching and poignant, this internationally acclaimed circus-dance work highlights the knots we tie ourselves in. It uses superb hand to hand circus skills to tell the tale of an impossible choice and gives real insight into the performers’ feelings for each other.

How can we be honest with ourselves without hurting those we love? Knot is a finely crafted journey through the struggles of commitment, with a surprising sting in its tail.

Created in collaboration with choreographer Ben Duke, Knot is a very modern affair told with delicate sensitivity through breath-taking acrobatics and heart-wrenching dance.

Knot was first seen as a short work as part of The Place’s Resolution season, subsequently winning a Herald Angel and the Total Theatre & Jacksons Lane Award for Circus at the Edinburgh Fringe. LIMF 2022 features work by Nikki, JD and Ben Duke elsewhere in the programme – see it all!
