Looking to get an insight into new ways of making theatre? Join The PappyShow for a practical 2-day weekend workshop exploring their approach to creating and devising work.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from a company who are at the forefront of physical theatre and collaborative work, thinking carefully about the stories we tell and how we tell them.

When you use your voice and lived experience to create, you are giving the world a gift that only you can give. So celebrate yourself and your ability to create something beautiful and unique. Our approach centres Joy and Play, thinking specifically about carving out spaces to lean into these experiences.

Through this workshop, you will gain a better understanding of how these approaches can be used to improve your own work and movement experiences.

This workshop is suitable for all levels. No previous theatre-making/performing experience necessary. Performers, Directors, Teachers, Makers, Dancers, Writers, Devisors, Movement Directors and those curious to start creating.

The PappyShow is a playful, physical and visual ensemble theatre company. Formed in January 2013 by Kane Husbands in order to provide a much-needed space for actors to train in physical theatre. We use exercise and training to devise and create work. We are a diverse company and difference and diversity are the cornerstones to our work and process. We work with actors, dancers, movers and non-performers, but we only ever expect you to be yourself - we are just US. We believe that having a space to play, devise and fail improves us as people and we use a physical and therapeutic approach to create our work.

If you are interested in participating in one of the festival’s workshops at LAMDA or Shoreditch Town Hall and require access support in order to do so, please email access@mimelondon.com with details and with any questions no later than Friday 9 December. We will endeavour to accommodate your access needs. All venues have step-free access and accessible toilets.
